For Sale: ROVER P5 Coupe Mark III 1966
Western Australia - Registration No: USG 128
Purchased by current WAROC member in 1998 from another club member.
Little documentation exists before this date although the car is believed to have been first delivered to the wife of a Faulls Director (Triumph, Rover / Land Rover agents).
In 1997 the interior, leather, carpets, woodwork were all replaced to an exceptional standard. They remain in outstanding condition since the car is used only for outings and club days although given a run at least every 3 weeks throughout the year.
Under present ownership work on the car has included: power steering rebuilt; top end overhaul; re-painted from waist downwards. Original paint on roof.
The interior and exterior are excellent but the engine bay has not been detailed.
The odometer reads 14,497 miles. The car does not have seat belts as they were not required at the time of original purchase.
There are some minor faults: Clock and under bonnet light not working; Very small bubbling at base of driver’s side “A”post; Woodwork under window sill on nearside beginning to de-laminate; Tiny ding in chrome radiator surround.
The car has been garaged every day by the present owner.
The car drives extremely well, proceeding with style and grace, but without the vulgarity of a V8 burble!
Car is fully licensed until 23/02/2015. Price: $12,000.00.
