2013  
January
Sunday 20 RACV Great Australian Rally - Melbourne to Mornington
    Organised by The All British Classics Car Club. All proceeds go to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Information via www.greataustralianrally.com.au  or contact RCCA. As in previous years the RCCA will have an area marked (20 places only). Cars departing from Stud Park Rowville.

As 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the P6 model, the club has secured 12 spaces in the ‘display area’ for any P6 model to be displayed. Cars which are in the ‘ display area’ will have to be in position at Mornington Racecourse by 9.00am and they will not be able to enter in the run from any of the meeting points.

Saturday 26 RACV Australia Day Display
Travel through Australian’ motoring history on Australia Day. Cars will be displayed in the Kings Domain.

Februrary
Friday 8 Traditional Year Opening BBQ Followed by Monthly Meeting
    Club Rooms. Starting time: 7pm. Table, chairs and the club BBQ will be available. Bring your own food, crockery and cutlery. At 8pm the Monthly meeting will commence.
Sunday 10 Visit Blue Lotus Waterlily Farm
    Combined event with the Triumph Car Club to visit the Blue Lotus Waterlily Farm, 2628 Warburton H’way, Yarra Junction. Phone 5967 2061. Meeting point: Meet at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre. Meeting time 10.30 am for a 10.45 am departure. At the Blue Lotus Waterlily Farm members will view 2 lakes, one with 10 islands, 3 smaller dams, a 14 acre display of exotic lotus and water lilies. Sunday 10 ***Picnic at Hanging Rock***
    Only pre 1987 (25 years and older) will be permitted to be on display. Vehicles pre 1987 will enter the event via the main gate whilst vehicles 1987 and later will enter via the general parking gates. Cost $20.00 per vehicle
Sunday 24 P6BS Display Wilson Botanic Park
   

To celebrate 50 years of the model P6BS David Wilson invites all Rover members with a P6BS to be part of a display at the Wilson Botanic Park from 10.00 until 12.00. Address: Wilson Botanic Park, 668 Princes Highway, Berwick. Melways Ref 111B7. Meeting point: Car Park. All other Rover models are very welcome.

The Wilson Botanic Park was a quarry until the late 1970’s and it is now renowned for its scenic walking tracks, lakeside picnic lawn and botanical gardens. Lunch will be at the Berwick Inn at midday. Numbers are required by the February monthly meeting to secure parking space and tables for lunch.

  16-22 RACV-All British Car Club Fly The Flag Heritage Tour
    Veteran, Vintage and Classic vehicles Pre 1982 are eligible to enter, Shepparton, Wagga Wagga Wodonga, Mansfield, finishing at the Yarra Valley racecourse in Yarra Glen.

Sunday 24 Maribyrnong River Cruise
   

Length of tour 2 hours. Meeting point: Ferry Terminal, bottom of Saltriver Place, Footscray. Melways Ref 42 E5.. Meeting time 12.45pm. Departure 1pm – return 3pm. Cost $14.00 per person. This cruise has been chartered for the sole use of the car club, max numbers 30. Parking could be an issue so please allow time to ensure you arrive at the meeting point at 12.45. Saturday/Sunday 6/7 2013 Great Macedon Tour
The Tour is open to all makes and models of car or motorcycle, from family sedans to exotic sports cars, 25 years old or more. Unlike most car rallies, concours de elegance or club events, the Grand Tour is designed for the whole family to enjoy. Comprehensive route notes and maps make navigating the 250 kilometre Tour a simple and enjoyable experience.

Friday 12 Monthly Meeting
    Club Rooms. Starting time: 8pm. Guest Speaker Roy Francis will be presenting a power point on ‘What every man should know – Prostrate awareness’.
Sunday 14 An informal discussion workshop for 75 owners
   

Members are encouraged to relate their “75” experiences, good and bad, with a view to exchanging Ideas, solutions and other information related to this model. Lunch: sausage sizzle. Time: 10.00 am. Further information and an indication of numbers please contact 97631965.

Sunday 21 AOMC RACV Classic Showcase and RCCA Display Day
   

Formerly the British And European Motoring Show. Flemington Racecourse Members Car Park. Display cars from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. Entry from Epsom Rd. Admission – display cars $13.00 pre booked or $15.00 on the day (passengers included). The RCCA have their own site and can accommodate up to 40 cars. If you would like to join the RCCA display please ensure you arrive early as we cannot guarantee a parking position

Sunday 19 National Motoring Heritage Day
RACV & AOMC present the Cavalcade to Seymour Australia’s Motoring Heritage. Address: Kings Park, (Showgrounds) Seymour. No specific departure points this year. Further details to follow in the May Small Torque regarding assemble location and departure time. Entry to the site is by gold coin donation, catering available from local community groups, farmers market and lots more. "A discounted entry to the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre, usually $10.00 only $5 for Cavalcade participants".

 

Sunday 19 PVCC Picnic At Ross Tasmania
Organised by Post Vintage Car Club of Tasmania, another Event for the Tasmanian RCCA members and local Rover fans. Last year there were more than 600 vehicles on display, probably the largest turnout of Vintage and Classic cars in Tasmania. This Event is the annual Display Day for RCCA in Tasmania. The Group usually meets outside Ross and drive in together to ensure parking in the display area as a group. Email the Webmaster if planning to attend.

 

Weekend 25-26 ***Historic Winton***
37th Historic Winton. Featuring over 400 Historic Racing Cars and Motorbikes from 1920’ to 1980’s. Raceway entry fees – Saturday $20.00, Sunday $30.00. Sunday – free entry for vehicles 50 years and older. Public enquiries, phone 0413702558

Weekend 8-10 June Queens Birthday Weekend Away – "Steam Rally Echuca".
RCCA have tentatively booked accommodation at Murray River Resort, Moama. If members are interested please contact Events Secretary. If members are unable to participate in the entire weekend, feel free to come just for the day. Will include Visit the Holden Motor Museum, Steam Rally - Rovers on display – Historic –1950’s & Pre - 1962, Tour of the Port of Echuca, Echuca & District Historic Car & Motor Cycle Club followed by a run around the region, and lots more.
